We recently had the pleasure of attending the Eastern Food Allergy and Comorbidity Conference at the Eau Resort in Palm Beach, Florida (January 8–11, 2026).
Over two days, we worked through several challenging food allergy cases with participants using our Problem-Based Learning approach. As always, the real value came from the discussion — watching clinicians think through complex situations together and learn from each other.
What made this conference especially rewarding was how the follow-up lectures tied directly back to the cases. We often refer to this as “lectures in context” — where traditional teaching reinforces what’s already been explored through real-world scenarios. It’s a powerful way to make learning stick.

The sessions were held in a U-shaped breakout room overlooking the ocean, which created a great environment for conversation and collaboration. It’s a setup we’ve found consistently encourages engagement and participation.

And of course, being in Palm Beach, we took a little time to walk along the beach between sessions — a nice moment to reflect after some really thoughtful discussions.
It was a wonderful few days of teaching, learning, and connecting — exactly what PBL is all about.
